Porsche Penske Motorsport has secured its second straight victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. The number 7 Porsche 963, driven by last year's champion Felipe Nasr from Brazil, Nick Tandy from the UK, and Laurens Vanthoor from Belgium, took the top spot on the podium.
This achievement signifies Porsche’s 20th overall victory at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship opener, reinforcing its remarkable legacy. The number 6 Porsche 963, driven by Matt Campbell from Australia, along with France's Mathieu Jaminet and Kévin Estre, contributed to the team’s success with a third-place finish. Once again, the Porsche 963 showcased its prowess as the most successful LMDh prototype since its introduction to racing.
‟Winning the 24 Hours of Daytona twice in a row – one of the longest and toughest races in the IMSA series – is a monumental achievement," said Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Porsche Motorsport. "This victory is a perfect start to the new season!”
